Tim Switzer is VP of Business Affairs at PIR, overseeing all revenue and growth initiatives, including global channel relations. As an industry veteran with over 20 years of experience, Tim has played a pivotal role in the growth and evolution of the domain name space. He began his tenure in the industry at Neustar. Over his 10 years there he managed the TLD Registry team, overseeing the business and operational functions. He played a key role in the launches of 3 TLDs – .biz, .us and .co. Tim then served as COO at Dot Green, a nTLD focused on environmental sustainability, overseeing all aspects of the company’s operations. As a founding member of ICANN’s nTLD Application Group (NTAG), Tim also served as Chair during his tenure. Tim then managed key channel relations at Verisign, focusing on the Americas region.
Before entering the domain name industry, Tim spent 15 years at IBM in business operations roles and also in the early development of electronic banking at a Visa subsidiary. Tim supports the mission-driven .ORG Community, channeling his passion for biking to support causes like Bike to the Beach (biketothebeach.org), which advocates for autism and disabilities awareness.
