Michael Riedl is Group CEO of Team Internet Group plc, a UK-listed internet company operating domain and identity infrastructure, search monetisation and online comparison platforms. He has spent over a decade running the naming layer of the internet, including ccTLD and gTLD registries and one of the world's largest registrar groups, and co-founded and chairs ShortDot, a leading gTLD registry and applicant in ICANN's 2026 new gTLD round.
He writes and speaks on internet governance, digital identity and what autonomous AI agents do to trust online, most recently in Forbes and at a WEF Strategic Intelligence session, and is a regular speaker and panellist at ICANN meetings, NamesCon, Domain Summit, Domain Days Dubai and Domain Pulse.
He trained in computer science, business and law, and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. His home base is Luxembourg.
