Joe Alagna is Chief Strategy Officer of it.com Domains Ltd. and a former board member of the Domain Name Association. He has spent more than 25 years in the domain name industry, helping registries, registrars, and country-code Top-Level Domains grow their businesses.
Joe previously served as Director of Business Development at Afilias, one of the world's largest domain name registries. Before that, he led channel development at 101domain, specializing in international domain names, ccTLDs, global brand development, and new generic Top-Level Domains. From 2001 through 2013, he was General Manager for North America at London-based CentralNic, which went public on the London Stock Exchange's AIM market in 2013.
During ICANN's 2012 new gTLD round, Joe helped prepare more than 60 successful applications, including .xyz, .club, and .app.
Joe is the co-author, with Andrey Insarov, of “How to Get Your Own Top-Level Domain,” a practical guide to ICANN's new gTLD program and the process of applying for and operating a Top-Level Domain.
He has spoken at ICANN meetings, NamesCon, the Direct Marketing Association, The Domain Name Conference, Targeted Traffic, and other domain industry events.
