Jelle Slenters is General Manager of RackRenew and Commercial Director at Sims Lifecycle Services (SLS). In 16+ years at SLS he moved from operations to commercial leadership and from ITAD to recommissioning hyperscale infrastructure. He leads RackRenew’s direction, partnerships and market development worldwide.
Jelle works at the intersection of hyperscale infrastructure and open hardware, and represents SLS in many industry associations. His thesis: in an AI-first world, the second life of hyperscale hardware becomes a primary supply chain for remanufactured compute.
RackRenew remanufactures Open Compute Project (OCP) hardware from hyperscale decommissions to OEM specification: compute, storage and GPU capacity at up to 70% below the cost of new, delivered faster and with zero embodied carbon. As an OCP Recognized Solution Provider, RackRenew builds on SLS’s Circular Centers (16 million assets reused in FY26).
Jelle has spoken at the OCP Global Summit and IERC on sovereign, circular infrastructure. On the panel “What Happens to Hosting in an AI-First World?” he shares how hosters, CSPs and MSPs are rethinking their hardware economics as AI drives up demand for compute, power and capital.
