I was born and raised in the Netherlands, and spent the better part of two decades doing one thing there: falling in love with building companies in hosting and cloud infrastructure, then doing it all over again. I left school as a teenager to co-found Argeweb, a Dutch hosting company, teaching myself the business by day and finishing my education at night. That restless energy never left me, I went on to build Amsio, a managed hosting provider with data centers and enterprise cloud setups, and later co-founded SaasNow, a global cloud platform for SAS workloads. All were eventually acquired, and all are still very much alive today, which is the part I'm proudest of.
In 2019, I moved to the United States, and these days I split my time between the Netherlands and the US. I'm currently leading Your.Online's expansion into North America, talking to founders about what comes next for the businesses they've spent years building. Having sat on the other side of that table myself, I know it's rarely just a numbers conversation.
Outside of deal rooms and data centers, I'm just someone who never got tired of this industry, and I'm always up for a conversation about it, no slide deck required.
