Jeremy Chrysler

Jeremy Chrysler leads product strategy at Yahoo Search. Over the last twenty years, he has worked on every side of the search economy: as a publisher building and monetizing search traffic, as the owner of an ecommerce company buying search traffic, and now at one of the world's largest search engines.

At Yahoo, Jeremy focuses on the future of intent. People are searching more than ever, but not always through a traditional search box. They talk to LLMs, post questions in Facebook groups, use specialized apps, and build agents. The systems for understanding and serving this distributed intent are still taking shape.

Jeremy sees a typed domain as one of the purest signals of intent a user ever gives. Someone who arrives at a parked domain wanted something specific, and the industry has mostly answered that with a generic page of links. He is working on new ways to infer what that visitor came for, so that the page they land on serves them better and the domain earns more for its owner. He looks forward to meeting people at NamesCon and hearing what they are working on.
