Describe your company. How long have you been there and what led you to this career choice?
NameAction was the first company in Latin America to provide 100% specialized services in consultancy for registration and administration of domains in the region, the Caribbean and the rest of the world. We have been dedicated to domains for 20 years, offering high technology services and experience.

In these 20 years we have registered domains in Latin America for some of the most important enterprises of the world, assisting with a wide range of services such as local presence, domains purchase, consulting, personalized advice, and more.

NamesCon is all about business networking. Can you tell us a story about the success of a meeting at NamesCon?
NamesCon is definitely the place to be when it comes to networking. I’m very much looking forward to meet the other domains professionals that will be attending this year. There’s always something to learn from every person, experiences to share, and ideas to discuss.

Can you tell us about how your service or product helps deliver value to your customers?
NameAction has developed an online “one-stop shop,” connected through API with most NICs, which allows to register domains in just few minutes, with a high level of information through our website about registration, billing, fees, expiry dates, and more.

How does your career compare to what you envisioned in your youth?
In my younger years, internet was not as developed as it currently is, so being the head of a domains company that works with some of the main companies that exist, is beyond any vision I could have had in my youth.

How would you describe what you do in a single sentence to a stranger?
We protect your virtual presence in the world.

Tell us about your latest and greatest achievement.
Having our company turn 20 years, along with an extraordinary work team.

Describe a recent challenge that you overcame.
The entire technological upgrade of the company’s systems, so we can offer our clients safer and more stable services through our website.

What are your thoughts on the new TLDs?
I think they were useful to understand how the domains field reacts in front of new TLDs and what what the reception of the public would be.

What kinds of changes to you foresee within the industry in the next year? The next five years?
I think domains will continue being more relevant and valuable each day, since they are the entrance door to the virtual world, in which we continue to spend more and more time. Security levels related to domains will increase, as well as the means to verify the identities of organizations that make businesses online.

What are the most innovative products or services that are currently impacting your business?
We are developing new software to incorporate business intelligence to domains registration, that allows our clients to obtain more information about what is happening with their domains in the market.

Who would you like to hear speak at NamesCon? Why?
Great companies such as Google, since they usually have a good vision of what may happen in the future with the industry.

What are you most looking forward to at the upcoming NamesCon?
Staying up-to-date in the domains field.

What industry trends or topics do you think will be at the forefront of panel and keynote discussions this year?
Security and identity related topics.

What was one of your biggest “A-ha!” moments in life?
When my children were born.

If you had 15 extra minutes each day, what would you do with them?
I’d meditate.

What’s the most recent thing you learned, big or small?
Spending more valuable time with my family.

Who has been the biggest influence on your life and what did they teach you?
My wife, who has taught me to be patient and perseverant.

What are you proudest of in your life?
I’m very proud of my four children.

Where is your favourite place to escape?
