Breaking: NamesCon Rebrands as JamesCon

In three short years NamesCon had quickly grown to become the largest commercial conference focused on the Internet domain name industry. Unfortunately for co-founders Richard Lau and Jothan Frakes, a bet gone wrong resulted in their beloved show landing in the hands of Richard’s brazen business partner, James Morfopoulos, who has since rebranded NamesCon to JamesCon.

James “MoFo” Morfopoulos won the bet in a runway walk-off against Richard and Jothan, which culminated in a move flawlessly executed by James in the wee hours of the morning somewhere off the Las Vegas strip. Jothan, who’s shed 60 pounds since NamesCon 2016, brought his A-game while Richard invigorated the crowd with his incredible showmanship. In the end, though, James’ signature look MBA Gi-Joe, often likened to Zoolander’s Blue Steel, nabbed the accolades due to its popularity within the hipster start-up community.

JamesCon expects to welcome over 1400 attendees for the January 2017 event, following on the success laid out by Richard and Jothan over the previous three years. Attendees will enjoy four full days of informative sessions, workshops, and keynotes featuring the one and only James Morfopoulos. Indeed, James will be the one and only speaker over four action-packed days at JamesCon.

If you’re still not convinced, James was quick to endorse himself and the incredible value attendees will receive at JamesCon:

Attending JamesCon allows you to meet the “Who’s Who” of everyone in the domain name business. Namely, James Morfopoulos. Valid for today only, James is extending a $300 discount to his beloved fans with this flash discount on JamesCon tickets.

Happy April, with special thanks to our friends over at!
