Q&A

Describe what your company does why you chose this focus and who benefits from the work that you do?
Dynadot is a domain registrar and we've been in business for over 15 years. I started the company because when I went to register a domain, I didn't like the search or checkout process and thought I could improve upon it. Fifteen years later I'd like to think I did! One of Dynadot's main focuses is on technology. I'm an engineer by trade and we also got our start in Silicon Valley (in my garage, of course).

We build a lot of things in house, including our website builder and our newly upgraded control panel, and that allows us to offer the best products and prices to our customers. Our goal is to make it easy and inexpensive to register domain names and create websites, so we cut out the middle man, which helps us keep prices low and gives us more control over our products. For example, we recently upgraded our control panel based on customer feedback, so it's even easier to manage your domains whether you have one or thousands.

What factors have contributed to your company's growth and success to date How do you see these elements evolving in the future?
In the beginning, we grew a lot by word of mouth. I think it was really our intuitive approach to domain management and low prices that stood out to domain investors. Today, I think we've continued to grow because we continue to offer low prices and a great product.

What can attendees expect to see from your company at NamesCon Global?
Dynadot has attended NamesCon every year since it started. It has become a great event for us. It's a great opportunity for us to meet with both registry partners and domain investor customers. I think at the time NamesCon started there was really a void in the industry and NamesCon has really grown to fill that void. It's an event we look forward to attending every year.
